Green pepper jelly
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- white vinegar
- Certo - 6 oz
- crushed dried red pepper - 3 Tbsp
- large green bell peppers 4 or 5 small - 3 item
- paraffin to seal - 1 item
How to make green pepper jelly:
Boil sugar and vinegar until clear. Grind green pepper finely. Pour into vinegar and boil 1 minute. Turn off heat and cool. Add one 6 ounce bottle Certo and 6 or 7 drops green food coloring. Pour into sterilized jelly jars; seal with paraffin.You may also use red sweet pepper to make a bright red jelly (use red food coloring). Serve over cheese and crackers. Makes 6 to 8 small jars.
