Green chili casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 4 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- corn tortillas - 12 item
- garlic - 1 item
- can diced green chilies - 1 item
- medium Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- Sauce:1/2 stick margarine
- cheese, cut in small chunks - 1 c
How to make green chili casserole:
Sauce:1/2 stick margarine4 tsp. flour2 c. milk1 c. cheese, cut in small chunks1 can diced green chilies Brown meat in skillet. Soften tortillas in oil. Put spoonful of meat in each with grated cheese and onion. Roll up and place in greased baking dish, seam side down.For Sauce: Melt margarine and add flour, then add milk slowly. Stir well and add cheese and diced chilies. Mixture will thicken. Pour over stuffed tortillas in baking dish. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
