Ingredients/Components
- sliced mushrooms - 1 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- butter - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- light cream - 1 c
- sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 3/4 c
- hot pepper sauce - 1/8 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- frozen cut green beans - 3 4
- sliced water chestnuts - 5 oz
- toasted almonds - 1/2 c
How to make green bean casserole:
Saute mushrooms and onion in butter. Add flour and cook until smooth. Add cream slowly, then cheese and seasonings. Simmer until cheese melts. Cook green beans in salted water.
