Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • dairy sour cream - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • grated onion - 1 tsp
  • corn flake crumbs - 1/2 c
  • grated medium sharp cheese - 8 oz
  • French-style frozen green beans - 18 20

How to make green bean casserole:

Cook frozen French-style green beans as package directs. Pour into colander; drain, cool and squeeze out excess water.

Melt butter in pan. Add flour and cook gently (1/2 minute or so). Remove pan from heat. Stir in seasonings and cream. Fold in beans. Place in greased, shallow 2-quart casserole dish. Cover with grated cheese. Cover with crumbs. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350° (bubbly in the center). Serves 6.
