Greek stew
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 T
- butter - 1/2 c
- raisins - 2 T
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- red wine vinegar - 2 T
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- whole cloves - 1/2 t
- beef stew meat - 3 lbs
- Salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cinnamon stick - 1 item
- red table wine - 1/3 c
- onions, peeled and cut up - 3 lbs
How to make greek stew:
Brown meat in butter. Arrange onions over meat. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat and onions. Cover and simmer for 3 hours. Do not stir. This can also be done in the crock pot, and it will take more than 3 hours.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Main dish, Stew.
