  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • wine vinegar - 1/3 c
  • olive oil
  • green pepper - 1 item
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • grated Romano cheese - 1/2 c
  • head lettuce - 1 item
  • Feta cheese, crumbled - 4 6
  • spring onions - 2 item
  • cucumbers - 2 item
  • or 3 tomatoes - 2 item
  • Calamata olives - 1 item
  • Salonica peppers - 1 item
  • or 4 anchovy fillets or to taste - 3 item

How to make greek salad:

For the dressing:2/3 c. olive oil1/2 tsp. oregano1/3 c. wine vinegar1/4 tsp. pepper1/2 tsp. salt juice of 1/2 lemon1/2 tsp. garlic powder1/2 c. grated Romano cheese Break lettuce into large salad bowl. Coarsely chop tomatoes, peppers, onion and cucumbers. Arrange over lettuce with olives, cheese and anchovy filets.

For the dressing, combine all of the dressing ingredients except the Romano and pour over the salad; toss lightly. Or toss gently with oil and vinegar, then sprinkle with the herbs and spices and toss again. Sprinkle with the Romano cheese if desired.
