Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sliced radishes - 1/2 c
- wine vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- small clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- crumbled Feta cheese - 1 c
- medium tomato, coarsely chopped - 1 item
- snipped fresh oregano or 1/2 tsp
- torn mixed greens, such as red and green leaf lettuce, curly endive, romaine, etc - 5 c
- small seedless or regular cucumber, sliced - 1/2 item
- medium red onion, halved lengthwise and finely sliced - 1/2 item
- Kalamata olives or ripe olives - 1 c
- Greek vinaigrette dressing recipe included - 1 item
- Cover; chill until serving time, up to 2 hours
How to make greek salad:
In a large salad bowl, toss together the torn mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, onion, olives, Feta cheese and radishes. Cover; chill until serving time, up to 2 hours. Just before serving, shake Greek vinaigrette to mix. Pour dressing over salad; toss gently to coat. If desired, sprinkle with fresh oregano and chive blossoms.Dressing:1/3 c. olive oil3 Tbsp. wine vinegar2 Tbsp. lemon juice1 1/2 tsp. snipped fresh oregano or 1/2 tsp. dried oregano1 tsp. sugar1 small clove garlic, minced1/4 tsp. pepper In a screw-top jar, combine the ingredients.
