Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 7 c
- water - 1/2 c
- grapes
- Sure-Jell - 1 pkg
How to make grape jelly:
Wash grapes, pull from stem, crush thoroughly. Add 1/2 cup water. When grapes get hot, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Wet bag (pillow case) and wring dry. Pour grapes into bag and squeeze out juice. Allow 5 cups juice and Sure-Jell to come to a hard boil. Add sugar. When mixture comes to a boil that cannot be stirred down, start timing and boil 2 minutes. Skim. Pour into hot jars. Seal while hot.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Jellies, Berries.
