sugar - 1 c
eggs - 2 item
vanilla - 2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 4 c
butter - 1 c
soda - 1 tsp
shortening - 1 c
powdered sugar - 1 c
cream of tartar - 1 tsp

How to make granny's sugar cookies:

Mix all together and chill 20 minutes. Roll in balls the size of a walnut. Roll in sugar; place on cookie sheet and press with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 350° oven.
