Grandma's gingerbread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- molasses - 3/4 c
- ginger - 2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- buttermilk or sour milk - 1 c
- regular flour, sifted
How to make grandma's gingerbread:
Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs. Stir in molasses. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat well. Spread in a well-greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
