Grandma's chili sauce
Ingredients/Components
- tomatoes - 7 qt
- stalk celery - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- medium onions - 10 item
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- salt per qt - 1 tsp
- scant pepper - 2 tsp
How to make grandma's chili sauce:
Boil celery, onions and green pepper in small amount of water for 1/2 hour. Add tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Let bubble for 20 minutes. Add sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Put in jars and seal.Recipe categories: Sweet sauces, Sauces, Savory sauces.
