Gourmet pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
- dried rosemary, crushed - 1/4 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- can French fried onions - 1 item
- loin chops 1/2-inch thick - 6 item
How to make gourmet pork chops:
Coat chops with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown on both sides in shortening. Place in baking pan. Combine soup, 3/4 cup of water, ginger and rosemary and pour over chops. Sprinkle with half the onions. Cover and bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until meat is tender. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining onions and bake for 10 minutes. Remove meat; blend sour cream into sauce. Heat and use this for gravy. Good served with rice or noodles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork chop, Pork.
