- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- stick butter, melted - 1 item
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- box powdered sugar - 1 lb
- chopped pecans optional - 1 c
How to make gooey butter cake:
Mix cake mix, 2 eggs and 1 stick butter. Put into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle nuts on top. Mix cream cheese, 2 eggs and most of the powdered sugar together. (Save a little powdered sugar to sprinkle on top when done.) Spread on top of cake mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Holiday.
