Golden chiffon cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cold water - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- Mazola or Wesson oil - 1/2 c
- unbeaten egg yolks - 7 item
- vanilla or lemon - 2 tsp
- egg whites, 7 or 8 - 1 c
How to make golden chiffon cake:
Step 1: Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add oil, egg yolks, cold water and vanilla or lemon. Beat well.Step 2: Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff. Fold into flour mixture and bake in tube pan. Bake at 325° for 55 minutes.
