Glazed sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- firmly packed light brown sugar - 1/4 c
- can sweet potatoes, sliced or quartered or use 5 to 8 sweet potatoes, cooked - 1 lb
How to make glazed sweet potatoes:
Dissolve Jell-O, sugar and salt in boiling water in skillet. Add butter and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Add sweet potatoes; cook over medium heat, about 15 minutes, basting frequently. When syrup thickens and is glossy, remove from heat. Serve hot. Makes 3 to 4 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Yam/sweet potato.
