  • sugar - 1 c
  • cornstarch
  • water - 1/2 c
  • whipped cream - 1 item
  • baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
  • few drops red food coloring - 1 item
  • strawberries, washed and hulled - 3 pt

How to make glazed strawberry pie:

Wash strawberries and mix sugar and cornstarch in 3-quart saucepan. Stir in water and mashed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in food coloring. Cool. Fold remaining 2 pints berries into cooled mixture. Pile into pie shell and chill. Serve with whipped cream.
