Glazed carrots and onions
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- can sliced carrots - 1 lb
- finely chopped white onions - 1/2 c
How to make glazed carrots and onions:
Place carrots in 2-quart casserole dish along with butter. Microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients; stir and microwave for another 2 to 4 minutes until vegetables are glazed.Range Top: If using raw carrots, place peeled carrots in 1-inch boiling water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add onions. Cook for 5 minutes. Drain. Add remaining ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are glazed.
