  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • ginger
  • cloves
  • egg, well beaten - 1 item
  • sorghum - 4 Tbsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Mix all ingredients together. Roll in balls one-half the size of walnuts. Roll in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 375°.
