Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 1 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 1/4 c
  • ginger - 1 Tbsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Mix first 5 ingredients. Beat shortening until creamy. Add sugar gradually. Beat in egg and molasses. Mix in 1/4 of flour mixture. Repeat until all flour is added. Roll into small balls. Roll in sugar. Bake 12 minutes at 350°.
