Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • molasses - 1 c
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • hot water - 1 c
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • sifted all-purpose flour - 3 c

How to make gingerbread muffins:

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat well. Add molasses. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt. Add to first mixture. Add water; beat until smooth. Fill small greased muffin pan 2/3 full. Bake in 350°
