Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- unsifted unbleached flour
How to make gingerbread:
Combine first seven ingredients then stir in boiling water. Add flour and mix. Dissolve baking soda in 2 tablespoons hot water, add to batter. Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake 30 minutes.
