Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour
- light molasses - 1/2 c
- ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- ground ginger - 3/4 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Heat oven to 350°. In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder and baking soda. Add shortening, molasses, egg and water. Beat with an electric mixer on low to medium speed until combined. Beat on high speed for 2 minutesRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
