Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking soda
- shortening - 1/2 c
- well beaten egg - 1 item
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- hot water - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Cream shortening and add sugar, egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients and hot water alternately. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
