Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- flour
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- soda
- cloves
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- molasses - 1 c
- hot water - 1 c
How to make gingerbread:
Cream together butter (or other shortening) and sugar. Add egg. Measure and sift flour and spices. Combine molasses and hot water. To first mixture, add dry ingredients alternately with liquid. Beat after each addition until smooth. Bake in paper lined cupcake pan in a 350° oven until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
