- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ground ginger - 2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Bake in greased shallow pan in moderate oven (350°) for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
