Gingerbread
Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- white sugar - 1/4 c
- molasses - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- soda
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
How to make gingerbread:
Cream shortening and sugars, beat in eggs and syrup. Sift dry ingredients and add with milk. Bake at 350° until done to touch. It fills about an 8-inch square pan, greased and floured.Hint: I use Steen's syrup and double the brown sugar, plus a little more white sugar.
