Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- pectin - 1/2 c
- lemons - 2 item
- candied ginger - 1/2 c
- canned pears and juice
How to make ginger pear jam:
Chop pears; add juice, finely chopped ginger, juice of lemon and grated rind, sugar and molasses. Cook slowly in a heavy saucepan for 10 minutes. Add pectin and boil rapidly 5 minutes. Pack in hot jars and seal at once.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Jams and preserves, Pears.
