Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- dry sherry - 1 Tbsp
- monosodium glutamate - 1/4 tsp
- flank steak - 3/4 lb
- dark soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- peanut, vegetable or corn oil - 1 item
- loosely packed fresh coriander leaves - 3 c
- finely shredded fresh ginger - 3/4 c
How to make ginger beef:
Slice beef thin against grain. Coat with cornstarch, soy sauce and 1/2 tablespoon oil. Put the ginger into a mixing bowl. Add 1 teaspoon salt; let stand 10 minutes, then drain and squeeze to get juice out. Heat 1 cup oil in wok. Add beef; cook untilRecipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
