German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- flour - 2/3 c
- water - 1 item
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- celery salt to taste - 1 item
- hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced - 5 item
- to 14 medium potatoes, peeled, boiled, cooled and diced - 12 item
- bacon, diced and fried until nearly crisp spoon off some grease - 1/2 lb
How to make german potato salad:
Add onion to nearly crisp bacon and cook until transparent. Add vinegar, sugar, flour, water, salt, pepper and celery salt. Keep cooking and stirring until it is bubbly gravy; add water to keep it a thin consistency. Pour over diced potatoes and eggs. Serve warm.
