German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 3 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- slices bacon, cooked and crumbled - 6 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices - 6 item
How to make german potato salad:
Cook potatoes until tender. Drain well. Combine remaining ingredients except eggs in a saucepan. Cook 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour vinegar mixture over potatoes. Add eggs and toss. Serve immediately. Yields 6 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
