German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- potatoes - 4 lb
- onion - 1 item
- bacon - 1/2 lb
How to make german potato salad:
Fry diced bacon; pour off most of the fat. Add diced onion, then flour. Mix sugar, vinegar and water in bowl and add to bacon pan. Bring to a boil. Have this on sliced potatoes for at least 1 hour before serving. Serves 10 to 15 people.Sauce can be frozen for leftover, cooked potatoes.
