German chocolate icing
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- coconut
- margarine - 1/2 c
- slightly beaten egg yolks - 3 item
- Coffee Rich nondairy creamer, thawed - 1 c
How to make german chocolate icing:
Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Add coconut and pecans. Cool until spreading consistency, beating occasionally. Makes 2 1/2 cups, enough for 2 (9-inch) or 3 (8-inch) layers.We use this recipe on a Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe dark Dutch fudge cake mix.
