German apple pancakes
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- medium apples, thinly sliced - 2 item
- ??? butter or margarine - 1/4 item
How to make german apple pancakes:
Preheat oven to 400°. Beat eggs, flour and milk. Divide butter or margarine between 2 (8 or 9-inch) round cake pans. Place pans in oven just until butter or margarine melts. Remove pans from oven and rotate pans to coat thoroughly.Arrange half the apple slices in each pan. Pour batter over apples, dividing evenly between pans. Mix cinnamon and sugar; sprinkle over batter in each pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until puffed and golden. Serve immediately for they will sink rapidly like a souffle.
