  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • peeled thinly sliced apples - 4 c

How to make german apple cake:

Combine first 3 ingredients; set aside. Beat eggs in sugar. Combine oil and orange juice. Add alternately with dry ingredients to egg mixture. Mix until smooth; add vanilla and beat well. Pour 1/2 batter in greased and floured tube pan. Arrange 1/2 apples over batter. Combine cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over 1/2 of apples. Top with remaining butter, apples and sugar. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
