Garlic mashed potatoes



  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste - 1 item
  • large cloves garlic, peeled - 2 item
  • medium-sized potatoes, peeled - 8 item
  • heated cream - 1/2 c

How to make garlic mashed potatoes:

Add potatoes and garlic to boiling water. Cover and boil slowly about 30 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving cooking liquid. Put hot potatoes and garlic through food ricer. Add salt, pepper, butter and cream. Stir to blend ingredients. Add reserved potato cooking water to desired consistency. Serves 6.
