Ingredients/Components

  • chopped parsley - 1/4 c
  • fresh lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • cheddar cheese - 1 lb
  • cube butter - 1/2 item
  • fresh garlic squeezed or chopped - 1 Tbsp

How to make garlic cheese french bread:

Grate cheddar cheese into large bowl. Mash room temperature butter into cheese. Add parsley and lemon juice and garlic. Cheese mixture should be spreadable consistency, (if cheese or butter is too cold, it won't mix together as well, so you may warm mixture in microwave to spreadable consistency).

Cut loaf of french bread down middle of one side. Leave crust uncut on other side, it will look like a giant hot dog bun. Then cut slices in opposite direction in 1 inch segments.

Open french bread and spread cheese mixture over top and between each section so that they can be pulled apart. Close bread back together again. Wrap in heavy duty tinfoil. Bake in 350° oven 1/2 hour or 325° for one hour, until heated through and cheese is melted. Open and lay flat under broiler until cheese bubbles. Serve hot.
