  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water - 4 c
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • carrots - 3 item
  • stalks celery - 2 item
  • medium potatoes - 4 item
  • mushrooms - 1/4 c
  • beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
  • cauliflower
  • pot roast - 2 lb

How to make garden vegetable soup:

Cut meat and brown in frypan. Take meat and next 7 ingredients, place in kettle. Heat to boiling point. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Cut up and stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour. Test vegetables with fork to see if tender.
