Garden chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- all purpose flour - 1/2 c
- water - 3 c
- 12 oz - 3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- minced fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 3 item
- each diced potato, celery, cauliflower, carrot and broccoli - 1 c
How to make garden chowder:
In a Dutch oven or soup kettle, saut?© green pepper and onion in butter until tender. Add vegetables, water, bouillon, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Combine flour and milk until smooth; stir into pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add the parsley.
