Garden chicken and stuffing
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- can chicken broth - 1 1/2
- chopped carrots - 1 c
- cubed, cooked chicken or turkey - 2 c
- celery leaves - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar - 1 c
- carrot curls - 1 item
How to make garden chicken and stuffing:
In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, cook celery, onion and carrots in butter until tender. Add flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in broth and milk. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Add stuffing and chicken; toss to coat. Spoon into 2-quart oblong baking dish. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more to melt cheese. Garnish with carrot curls and celery leaves.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
