Garden bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 2 c
- sliced pimiento, drained - 1 jar
- kidney beans - 1 can
- large green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- cut green beans - 1 can
- lima beans - 2 cans
- garbanzo beans - 1 can
- bunch green onions, sliced - 1 item
- celery stalks, chopped - 3 item
- wax beans - 1 can
How to make garden bean salad:
Drain all cans of beans; place in a large bowl. Add green pepper, celery, pimiento and green onions; set aside. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil in a heavy saucepan; boil, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and immediately pour over vegetables. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Makes 12 to 16 servings.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Chickpeas/garbanzos.
