  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk
  • self-rising flour
  • cooking oil - 1 item
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item

How to make funnel cake:

Add all ingredients; mix well. Heat 1 1/4 inches of cooking oil in skillet to 375°. Hold finger over hole in funnel (3/8-inch opening is best). Pour 1/4 cup batter in funnel. Hold over hot oil; remove finger from funnel hole and drizzle in a circular motion to form spiral. Fry for 1 minute, or until brown; turn and brown on other side. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with cinnamon or powdered sugar.
