Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- hot water - 1/3 c
- white Karo syrup - 1 Tbsp
- shortening or butter - 1/2 c
- Pour into 3 cake pans or 1 oblong pan
How to make fudge cake:
Mix water and cocoa; add remaining ingredients. Pour into 3 cake pans or 1 oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:2 c. sugar4 Tbsp. cocoa dash of salt2/3 c. milk1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup1 tsp. vanilla2 Tbsp. butter Mix sugar, cocoa and salt. Add milk and Karo.
