Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1/4 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- sifted powdered sugar - 3 c
- unsweetened chocolate - 4 oz
- Cook until chocolate and butter melt
How to make fudge bars:
Combine butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Cook until chocolate and butter melt. Combine sugar and eggs in a mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until well blended. Add chocolate mixture; beat well. Stir in flour and salt just until blended. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Pour into a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until done. Let cool slightly. Spread with Chocolate Frosting while slightly warm. Cool. Cut. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen.Chocolate Frosting:1/4 c. butter1/4 c. water3 c. sifted powdered sugar1/4 c. cocoa3/4 tsp. vanilla1/8 tsp. salt Combine butter and water in a medium saucepan over low heat.
