Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/4 c
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
  • ground cloves - 1/8 tsp
  • ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • ground ginger - 1/4 tsp
  • orange juice - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • light Karo syrup - 1 c
  • fresh ground nutmeg optional - 1/4 tsp
  • to 8 center-cut pork chops - 6 item

How to make fruited pork chops:

In crock-pot, stir together orange juice, lemon juice, salt and spices. Trim fat from pork chops. Place pork chops in juice mixture and top with fruit. Cook 8 hours on low heat or until pork chops are tender. Remove chops and fruit to platter. Keep warm.

Pour liquid into saucepan; skim off fat. Stir together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir into liquid in saucepan until smooth. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 1 minute. Pour sauce over pork and serve with rice. Yields 6 servings.
