Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- milk - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- maraschino cherries - 1/4 c
- bananas, sliced - 2 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- can pineapple chunks, drained - 1 1/4
- chopped pecans, toasted - 1/2 c
- oranges, sectioned - 3 item
- apples, unpeeled and chopped - 3 item
- Creamy Sauce follows - 1 item
How to make fruit salad:
Creamy Sauce:1/2 c. sugar1 c. milk2 Tbsp. lemon juice2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour2 eggs, slightly beaten Combine sugar and flour in a small saucepan; stir well. Add milk and eggs. Stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice. Cover and chill. Yields 1 1/2 cups.Taken from November 1987 Progressive Farmer Magazine.
