Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- nut meats - 1 c
How to make fruit cocktail cookies:
Combine the shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Shut off mixer and add fruit cocktail by hand. Sift together the flour, all spices, baking powder and soda. Add to ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake. Dough can be used right away or refrigerate. Do not place cookie dough to close together on cookie sheet because cookies will spread while baking.
