Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- large can fruit cocktail, drained - 1 item
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Mix together egg and sugar. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt, then add to egg mixture. To this, add the drained fruit cocktail and vanilla. Spread in buttered 8 x 8-inch pan. Mix together brown sugar and chopped nuts and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Top with whipped cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
