  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • Wesson oil - 1/2 c
  • soda
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • fruit cocktail use whole can - 2 c
  • Bake in 325° oven for 35 to 45 minutes
  • small can evaporated milk - 1 item
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • chopped nuts - 1 c

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Mix together and pour into greased and floured Pyrex 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake in 325° oven for 35 to 45 minutes.Filling:3/4 c. sugar1 small can evaporated milk1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Boil for 3 minutes the sugar, milk and margarine. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut and chopped nuts. Pour on cake while hot. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
