Fruit cocktail cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- plain flour - 2 c
- Wesson oil - 1/2 c
- soda
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- fruit cocktail use whole can - 2 c
- Bake in 325° oven for 35 to 45 minutes
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Mix together and pour into greased and floured Pyrex 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake in 325° oven for 35 to 45 minutes.Filling:3/4 c. sugar1 small can evaporated milk1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Boil for 3 minutes the sugar, milk and margarine. Stir constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut and chopped nuts. Pour on cake while hot. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
