Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- nuts, chopped
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- Topping:1 stick butter
- sugar or less - 3/4 c
- fruit cocktail with juice - 2 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Topping:1 stick butter1/4 c. canned milk3/4 c. sugar or less Cake: Mix first the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, vanilla, eggs and fruit cocktail. Put into a 9 x 12-inch pan. Sprinkle top with nuts and brown sugar. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or more. Test with toothpick.Topping: Heat the ingredients until boiling. Boil 1 minute. Pour over hot cake.
