- baking soda - 1 tsp
- unsifted flour
- 1 lb - 2 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- coarsely chopped nuts - 1 c
- can Eagle Brand milk - 1 oz
- jar ready to use mincemeat - 1 oz
How to make fruit cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a tube pan, line with wax paper and grease again or use a generously greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan.Sift together flour and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients. Blend in dry ingredients. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Turn out of pan, remove wax paper and garnish as desired.
